Illustration Friday: Diary

This is my first Illustration Friday post. I decided to put an actual entry from my moleskine sketchbook, which I used as some sort of diary during my summer vacation of '09. What's weird is that because I drew a picture to my thoughts, it seems so much easier to go to that memory than if it were just a picture or words. I can smell the beach as I look at it and hear the conversation of the French dude on the left of the page. I remember not knowing what he was even saying.

Trying to find an outlet

I haven't updated my blog in a while, but I might as well before I let the space monsters from Dead Space take my time from my art. In honesty, I haven't been drawing and maybe that could explain that missing ingredient in my daily life. I said I'll draw my dreams, and I do wish I do it more often than just saying it. More drawing/painting, less regrets.

These are a few sketches in my mini sketchbook of randomness and freedom of thought.

I'll keep working on these when I get the chance. Motivation is hard sometimes. I wish I was as inspired as the "double rainbow" guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQSNhk5ICTI. He found something, man. Something meaningful that gets him going...kind of.
