Continuing this Dream Experiment

I've remembered every dream so far and the past three nights had similar themes. So far, I've had that dream after I ate an egg at two in the morning, then the other night's dream after eating nothing, and last night's dream after eating french bread at three in the morning....I totally need to practice a better sleeping habit.

On the night that I didn't eat anything before sleeping, I still had a dream where I was participant of Ninja Warrior in my art school. The school looked the same, but the layout was slightly altered. In my dream, I made it through the First Stage of the game, and then all the way to the Third Stage, but then I decided to go home and catch the train to be picked up. If you don't know what I'm talking about when I say Ninja Warrior, go look for it on the internet. Might as well so you don't feel left out of my head, right? Must be awkward to walk in a conversation you don't know. I know.

Ninja dream....don't the walls look like corn??

Then, last night, I was starving at three in the morning (I mean who doesn't) so I went into the kitchen and ate some french bread (absolute guilty pleasure). Maybe I've been watching a lot of Ninja Warrior, so maybe it was the reason for my dream to result in something similar. This dream was a little bit more clear in story (since the previous dreams seemed to jump from place to place, idea to idea).

I dreamed that I was a traceuse, or a freerunner or one who practices parkour. Well, I did look into this yesterday most of the time I was online so I guess my dream was just a little bit of wishful thinking. I was good and skilled in my dream! How I wish I could do what I did in my dream! Oh, then the weirdest part of my dream was that David Blaine came and started chasing me with his freerunning skills. He said I was stealing his show. So here I was, trying to get away from David Blaine, running and jumping off buildings. He was always a step ahead of me, but he couldn't catch me. Haha, in your face! (But I have lots of respect for this guy though).

Another from my sketchbook of a traceur, jumping off a building. Maybe I shoulda drawn David Blaine doing this instead.

Wait...I still had a dream on the night I didn't eat. Eh, I'll still keep experimenting. Bored people are hungry too, you know.

On the side note...
<-- James Jean in Manila, Philippines?! I'm honored.

Dream Experimenting

So I'm going to try out this dream experiment. I don't really have a reason for doing this, but I've always been curious about the dream realm, so I might as well, right? Most of the time, I remember my dreams and people say that I'm lucky. I'll take their word. With this experiment, I'm gonna try to control some variables and see what results from the experiment.

This is how I'm going to try it: Eat certain foods before I sleep (salty, sweet, sour), record the time I sleep, the activities I did in the past few hours, then I will draw a picture based on what had happened in the movie of my mind. Of course, the visuals dreams may be exaggerated a little, but this is just for art purposes.

I started this experiment last night on impulse like I do with everything else. I just thought, hey, last week I ate clementines and had weird dreams in a row. I wondered if food had something to do with the dreams. Ima eat other foods to control my dreams!, I thought at about twelve in the morning. I've read up on it and some say that the foods you eat can affect your dreams due to the indigestion. Certain foods like the ones with more vitamin B can have an effect. I even read up about this Kava Kava root from Polynesian islands that is supposed to actually work. Usually, it works to relieve stress and sharpen your mind, but like ponies, you just can't have one.

I read about how some people dreamed by eating salty foods. So...at about 2:14 am...I had an impulse to cook an egg sunny-side up. I was pretty sure I was sleepy so things that didn't make sense made sense.

As a result, I had this weird dream (actually, more of a montage of random thoughts). It included a guy having his eyes surgically changed to something else he liked, a restaurant in a suspicious basement, a hotel, and me having random abilities like lightning breath based on a list of powers I could use. Yeah...my mind is....yeah.

By the way, above is from my sketchbook. This has nothing to do with the dream I had last night.

Whoa, a new blog!

This is a test blog. My friend insisted I make one. After much nagging, I finally created one. You happy??
Anyways...what to talk about?

I dunno, what do normal people talk about in blogs? Usually, I just go on talking about food, random thoughts, and assassins. But you don't want to get me into those topics. It'll put you to sleep. I didn't even have to put my pillow over your head for that.

I could talk about art, but I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions because everybody has their own perspectives on it. Anyone could look at something and call it art. For example, I put a bunch of tape from the floor of my classroom and stuck it to a wall. Because my art school is just peculiar, they think it's a piece of art and it hung there for two weeks. I'll still share some of my art, but you can't share horses. I don't even know what to think anymore. Sleepy. Robots can malfunction too.
